The UCOA is dedicated to the promotion of fishing, hunting and wildlife conservation.

We offer our membership the ability to participate in various forms of shooting disciplines, access to the shooting range, club house and pond. The UCOA offers Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, IDPA, IPSC and Archery. The UCOA also offers Hunter Safety courses, NRA courses and intermediate pistol courses to name a few.


UCOA Annual Ladies Day Out

Who: Ladies 14 years and up
(age 14 – 17 must be accompanied by a legal guardian)

When: September 6, 2014

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Cost: Free & Lunch provided

Description of day activities:

  • Introduction to firearms
  • Firearm safety
  • Shooting skills
  • Range
    • Rifle
    • Pistol
    • Shotgun

Firearms and ammunition will be provided by the UCOA. If you would like to bring your own firearm that is fine. Please make sure it is unloaded and secured. If you bring you own firearm please bring one box of ammo in the same caliber as your firearm. Instructors will be on hand to assist you with your shooting experience.

Firearm instructors are certified Firearm Safety Officers and/or NRA certified.

National Hunting and Fishing Day

When: September 20, 2014

Registration starts at 8:30 am

Each year the UCOA offers our National Hunting and Fishing day. This is for youth ages 1 - 17. All youth must be accompanied by an adult. The one day event involves shooting, archery and fishing. Door prize drawing throughout the day. For the fishing event, each age category will win fishing gear and all participants will receive a gift for attending. Shooting events will be managed by safety officers at all times. Guns and ammo provided.

Events Schedule:

8:30 am - 12:00 pm - Registration

9:00 am - 12:00 pm - Archery

9:00 am - 10:30 am - Rifle and Pistol

10:30 am - 12:00 pm - Shotgun

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Lunch (Free)

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Fishing

We will provide worms to all participants fishing. The pond will be stocked with hungry catfish the week before the event. This is a catch and release program. Participants must provide their own fishing gear. Limit one fishing pole per youth fishing. The Rifle/Pistol range will be closed to members during this event.
