Upcoming Education Classes:
The UCOA will be offering a 1.5-hour class every Tuesday from 6:30 – 8:00 for 6 weeks
starting on January 13, 2026. The class is open to anyone new to firearms, CCW holders,
Constitutional carry, or want to know more about firearms. You do not need to be a UCOA
member to attend.
Topics include:
1. Video(s) covering a variety of topics followed by open discussion.
2. Firearm selection and purpose, Gun Safety, and cleaning
3. Holster choices and techniques used to draw from a holster.
4. Steps used to clear firearm malfunctions. What you need to know.
5. Situational Awareness, Understanding Jeff Cooper Color Code System
6. Shooting skills, techniques, and options
a. Ways to improve shooting skills by shooting IDPA, Steel Challenge, trap, or
skeet.
b. Things you can do on the range to improve your skills, i.e., moving and
shooting technics, use of cover, and dry fire, etc.
c. Low light, nighttime use of light, flashlight techniques, muzzle blast
7. Guest Speakers will range from law-enforcement and attorney(s).
8. AR-15 Function, modifications, breakdown, and sight options.
9. Self-defense in Ohio and using deadly force. What are my non-lethal options?

Cost will be $20 per person; spouses or youth under the age of twenty-one are $5 addition
for the class. This covers all of the classes.

The Rifle/Pistol ranges opens for members at 8:00 AM daily, gate locks 30 minutes after sundown. Please plan to be off the range and out of the gate before this time. Gate currently locks at 5:30 PM. Closing time will change monthly based on sunset time. Check website for changes.

Membership Renewal - Transition to Email-Based Membership Renewals
Attention all members: The club is implementing a new process for membership renewals and communication. Moving forward, all information regarding renewals will be distributed through email (info@ucoa-findlay.com). We will also be sending informational emails on a regular basis. Schedules and other information will always be available on the website.

Membership Renewal Instructions
The membership secretary will send an email from info@ucoa-findlay.com containing detailed instructions on how to renew your membership. The renewal process will now be completed online, with payments accepted via credit card. Please note that we will no longer send renewal forms or information through regular mail. Dues will be $100 per year starting with the December 2025 renewal cycle.
